Declaring a Minor
FAQs
Why should I minor in Criminal Justice
Minoring in Criminal Justice is an excellent choice for students who want to complement their primary major with a deep understanding of legal frameworks, societal structures, and human behavior. Whether you are majoring in Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Business or Computer Science, a CJUS minor provides valuable context. You will gain a foundational understanding of how courts, law enforcement, and corrections operate. This is incredibly valuable for future law students, community advocates, public administrators or anyone who is interested in the field of Criminal Justice.
At 18 total credit hours, the minor is highly attainable and gives you the freedom to choose four electives tailored to your specific interests, making it easy to fit into a busy graduation plan. If you receive financial aid, please confirm with your major academic advisor that you can fit this program within the required 120 hours to graduate.
